FRANKLIN COUNTY
Franklin County has an area of 690 square miles; is bounded on the north by Liberty, east by Wakulla, south by the Gulf of Mexico and west by Calhoun County. The soil is sandy, underlaid with clay. The products are cotton and sugar cane. Fish and oysters are plentiful. Vegetables and fruits are grown profitably. Population 4,000.
